Smoked Salmon Bagel Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 bagels (any variety, such as plain, sesame, or everything)
- 4 oz smoked salmon, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (or more, depending on preference)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
- A handful of fresh dill (or chives), chopped
- Capers (optional, for garnish)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- 1-2 lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Bagels:
- Toast the bagels until golden brown and crispy on the outside. You can use a toaster or toast them in a skillet.
2. Make the Cream Cheese Spread:
- In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with lemon juice until smooth. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.
3. Assemble the Bagel:
- Spread a generous layer of the lemon cream cheese mixture on each bagel half.
- Arrange a few slices of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.
4. Add the Toppings:
- Add the thinly sliced red onion and cucumber on top of the salmon.
