  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crispiness)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

For the lemon garlic Parmesan sauce:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken tenders:
    • In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs.
    • In another shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Coat the chicken tenders:
    • Dredge each chicken tender in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
  3. Cook the chicken tenders:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Fry the chicken tenders for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C). Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. Make the lemon garlic Parmesan sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant.
    • Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese, and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the chicken tenders in the sauce:
    • Return the cooked chicken tenders to the skillet and toss gently to coat them in the lemon garlic Parmesan sauce.
  6. Serve:
    • Arrange the chicken tenders on a serving plate, garnish with fresh parsley, and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
