These buttery, flaky crescent rolls are stuffed with a creamy chicken filling, making them the perfect snack, appetizer, or easy dinner. They’re quick to prepare and packed with flavor!
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
- 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
- Optional garnish: fresh parsley or chives, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Make the filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until the filling is creamy and well blended.
- Prepare the crescent rolls:
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
- Fill and roll:
- Place about 1–2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture on the wider end of each triangle.
- Roll up the dough, starting from the wider end and tucking in the filling as you go. Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush and bake:
- Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg. This helps them turn golden and glossy.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
