- 1 lb (450g) ground beef or thinly sliced beef strips
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- For the Noodles:
- 8 oz (225g) Asian noodles (ramen, udon, or rice noodles)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- For the Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional, for spice)
- Vegetables:
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup snap peas or broccoli florets
- ½ cup sliced green onions
- Toppings:
- Sesame seeds
- Fresh cilantro or green onions
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles:
- Prepare the noodles according to package instructions. Drain, toss with 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and set aside.
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef or beef strips and cook until browned, breaking up the meat if ground.
- Stir in soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add a little sesame oil if needed.
- Toss in the carrots and snap peas (or broccoli). Sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and chili garlic sauce (if using).
- Combine Everything:
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Add the noodles and pour the sauce over everything.
- Toss to coat and cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve:
- Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, or fresh cilantro.
- Serve hot, with lime wedges if desired.
