Steak Bites

Here’s a quick and flavorful recipe for Steak Bites, perfect as an appetizer or main dish:

Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Steak
    • Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to help them sear properly.
    • Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat the Pan
    • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Ensure the pan is hot for a perfect sear.
  3. Sear the Steak
    • Add the steak cubes in a single layer (cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding).
    • Sear for 2–3 minutes per side for a medium-rare cook. Adjust the time for your preferred doneness.
    • Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter
    • Lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining olive oil and butter to the skillet.
    • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Combine
    • Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter for 1–2 minutes.
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  6. Serve
    • Serve immediately with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or a simple salad.

Tips:

  • Steak Choice: Sirloin and ribeye are great options, but tenderloin works for an extra luxurious dish.
  • Add Heat: Sprinkle in a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serving Suggestion: Pair with a creamy dipping sauce, like horseradish or garlic aioli, for an appetizer-style dish.
