  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water (adjust as needed)
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta:
